Lorena Villalón was born and raised on the border of Matamoros, Mexico, and Brownsville, Texas. She earned her Juris Doctorate from law school at age 23 and was admitted to the Texas State Bar in October 2019. During law school, she worked at several prominent immigration law firms, served as vice president for the Institute of International and Immigration Law, served as historian for the Hispanic Law Students Association (HLSA), and was a member of the immigration clinic.

Her interest in immigration began in high school when she realized that her future and the future of her loved ones could be determined by their immigration status. The immigration status of a person is something so natural yet so complex. It is an issue that can impact job opportunities, education, and family stability. Today, the subject of immigration has become Lorena’s greatest passion. Keeping families together motivates her to continue growing professionally. Lorena comes from a Mexican family that believes in family unity. Her goal is to contribute to your well-being by helping you and your family solve your immigration problems.
